In contrast to conventional devices our XUV spectrometer does not [ lW~v:W  
require a narrow entrance aperture but rather images the harmonic source gWL'Fl}H

This configuration typically collects 15 to 25 times more light than 5Z@OgR  
standard versions, resulting in a signal-to-noise figure improved by the *`7cvt5]IM

Our instruments are based on high quality aberration-corrected 2= S;<J  
flat-field gratings. In contrast to conventional gratings these focus tY'fFz^Ho  
all wavelengths onto a plane rather than a circle. This allows for "Y-_83  
positioning the entire detector in the focal plane of the grating for &>,c..Ke

The spectrometer is very compact and can be bolted directly to a vacuum sba+J:#w

of configurations (source distance, spectral range, detectors, vacuum VB=$D|Ll

The compact design of the spectrometer makes it inherently insensitive X+dLk(jI`u  
against mechanical and environmental disturbances (vibrations, vVBu/)  
acoustics, etc). No externally moving parts and closed-loop grating X?kw=x{2P  
actuators with absolute position monitoring add to the robustness and l/ufu[x!a  
allow for monitoring of the grating alignment at all times. J'4Pp<  
In addition, the concept of a spectrometer without entrance slit also I5Vp%mCY  
makes the instrument less sensitive to misalignment. Under typical 8725ET t  
operating conditions a misalignment of the beam in the dispersion ->_rSjnM{  
direction on the entrance of the spectrometer by 500um would lead to a kMd1)6%6A  
signal reduction by more than 20% in an instrument with entrance slit p^J=*jm)x
